When I visited World's End I met Lisa, who worked there, and I explained my project to her. She was a lovely person and really helpful, she let me have a look round the store and showed me some of the clothing which is only available in World's End. She was also really proud of working there, which was nice to see. Lisa wore a beautiful pastel purple dress by Vivienne Westwood which can be seen below in the photograph of her with myself.
The shops she recommended I visited after World's End were the nearest Vivienne Westwood stockists in London. I visited the shops for Womenswear, Menswear and Wedding attire. At the wedding stockists I spoke to the people working there about how the dresses are made. One of the methods consistent at Vivienne Westwood is the use of Deconstruction. Below is a photograph of the two people I met who worked at the Wedding store, one of which is also a Freelance Designer.
At each shop (including World's End) I was given Lookbooks of Vivienne's current designs which are now a far cry from her original punk beginnings.
It was wonderful to visit London and to be so lucky in gathering research for my project.
